The Williamsons: Dominick is making the same transition that Gracie made last year – in that he has jumped to middle school. So, now I have 2 kids that I bring to school on my way to work in the morning.
Dominick was anticipating playing modified soccer in the fall – but there were not enough students to form a team. He ended up playing with the JV team, which was good for him. However, he did not get as much playing time as he would have with a modified team.
Gracie had an absolutely great year with X-Country! She finished in first place for several of her races & finished 4th in the STAC meet (Southern Tier Athletic Conference). She also was the captain of the modified X-Country team!
Annie played soccer in the fall too. I had a blast in the final “Parents versus Kids” game with Annie’s team & even scored a goal! (Parents won!)
Sophie actually played soccer this fall. In the past she did little more than serve as the team mascot – or lawn gnome – just standing on the field. This year she was a force to be reckoned with!
In September my grandmother turned 101! Wow! Just amazing!
In October we ventured out to Cooperstown for a day. It was a place that was on our summer vacation list that we just didn’t make it to. It was a beautiful way to spend a nice autumn day.
Gracie, Dominick, Annie & I also helped the charity “Rise Against Hunger” in October through our church. It was fun to volunteer with the kids & do a little assembly line work in packaging the meals.
Finally, Sophie is really proving to have a LOT of personality & a strong sense of humor. We were wrestling one day & she really made us laugh. I had her pinned & she spontaneously remarked – “Don’t try this at home, kids!”.
Sincerely,
