Review of Doodle Map Customisable Baby Milestones Maps

Doodle Maps is a fresh, personal and memorable concept gift for yourself and, or your loved ones.

Illustrated by Laura Thomas, her maps provide you with a monochrome visual representation of your relationships, pregnancy journey, children’s birth dates and ‘life lines’ or journeys respectively and depending on the map you choose to purchase, making these (accomplished) doodles, a unique piece of art that will be treasured from generation to generation.

Spanning the births of my own three children in my Doodle Map, charting the cities and towns we moved to, from and back to in our case, and the pattern our lives took over the past 14 years as parents and how parenthood affected those decisions.

Often a squiggly line, the illustration provides insight into the decisions we made after each of our three children, the shapes our lives have taken, transporting us from the South to the North of the UK. I love the attention to detail with the dates, times, place and weights at birth of each child, Oliver, Alexander and Florence as well as key landmarks of each place we lived whilst we were there.

Through clear communication via email, I was able to offer Laura information to add to the picture to personalise it, as well as proof-reading prior to it being printed and sent to us.

My children were delighted with it. Look at Florence’s little beaming face!

The piece is now printed in an oak frame, ready to adorn Florence’s bedroom wall!

Thank you Laura. You can order your very own Doodle Map here.
