Decorate your trees with some loose parts play.
Loose parts play is easy and so much fun and a creative way to work on fine motor skills! Simply collect a variety of loose parts small enough to line up along the patterns, or use the blank Christmas tree and some small treasures to decorate it any way you like.
We used wooden shapes, beads, pipe cleaners, mini craft sticks, sequins and more to decorate our Christmas trees with loose parts.

There are so many fun ways to use these Christmas tree pattern mats!Using pencils, markers or highlighters and tracing along the lines on each tree is a great way to practice pre-writing skills. Once you have traced all the lines you might like to colour in the trees too.
You could also put the pages into a plastic pocket and use a dry erase marker so you can trace them again and again.
Use cotton buds (q-tips) and try some cotton bud painting along the lines to really give those small hand muscles a workout. Or grab some dot markers for some low-mess painting fun that is perfect for toddlers
Collect some collage materials and a glue stick have fun sticking items along the lines.
You can also use these pattern mats to work on scissor skills by cutting along the dotted lines. For beginners with scissors it will be helpful to cut out the tree first and offer the easiest patterns to cut.
