Pre-Order Bonus Announcement: FREE Audiobook!

Back in July, I announced here that I have a new book coming out early in 2025. It’s called When Culture Hates You: Persevering for the Common Good as Christians in a Hostile Public Square. Today, I have three additional exciting announcements about the book release!

1. The release date has moved up a month to February 4th (was March 11th)! And not only is the book coming out a month early, you can read the foreword and Chapter 1 TODAY…read on.

2. I can now share the bonuses available for pre-ordering! Here’s what you need to know:

  • If you pre-order the paperback or Kindle edition by Friday, January 10, 2025, you’ll receive the entire audiobook (read by me) for FREE!
  • You’ll receive a link to the audiobook the week the book is released (February 4th).
  • In the meantime, as soon as you fill out the pre-order bonus form, you’ll be able to download the foreword and Chapter 1! That’s as early as today.
  • IMPORTANT! In order to receive these pre-order bonuses, you have to fill out the quick pre-order bonus form (name, email, confirmation number). We have no way of knowing if you pre-ordered unless you submit that. So, if you’ve already pre-ordered, go ahead and fill it out now. If you haven’t yet pre-ordered, go pre-order first at your retailer of choice and then fill out the pre-order bonus form.
  • Once you’ve submitted the form, you’ll receive an email with a link to download the foreword and Chapter 1.
  • If you haven’t pre-ordered yet, just a heads up that ChristianBook.com currently has When Culture Hates You on sale for 40% off!

3. You can now read all the amazing endorsements for the book at this link (scroll down after clicking)! Frank Turek wrote the foreword and you’ll see endorsements from:

  • Jack Hibbs (founding and senior pastor of Calvary Chapel Chino Hills, CA)
  • Greg Koukl (president of Stand to Reason)
  • Erwin Lutzer (pastor emeritus, Moody Church)
  • Andrew T. Walker (associate professor, The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary)
  • Jim Daly (president, Focus on the Family)
  • John Stonestreet (president of the Colson Center)
  • Kirk Cameron (actor, producer)
  • Alisa Childers (author of Another Gospel?)
  • Seth Dillon (CEO of The Babylon Bee)
  • Mark Mittelberg (international speaker and author)
  • Robert J. Pacienza (senior pastor of Coral Ridge Presbyterian Church)
  • Melissa Dougherty (content creator and author)
  • Everett Piper (president emeritus, Oklahoma Wesleyan University)
  • Krista Bontrager and Monique Duson (coauthors, Walking in Unity)

And if you missed the initial announcement and are wondering what the book is even about, check out the table of contents here. Quick version: There are so many people both in and out of the church today trying to convince Christians that we need to keep our voices and values to ourselves—and that when we don’t, we’re “imposing” our values on others, we’re being too “political,” people won’t want to hear the gospel because they won’t like us, we’re trying to change society even though Jesus didn’t tell His followers to change the Roman Empire, and all kinds of other problematic (and unbiblical) ideas. In short, my new book is here to say that thoughtful and committed Christian influence in the public square is needed more than ever—even when we’re hated for it, as is increasingly becoming the case.

Last, I just want to say THANK YOU to those who make the effort to pre-order. Pre-orders help authors significantly by signaling a book’s popularity to retailers and they push it up in rankings where it gets seen by more people. So, even if you’re someone who doesn’t care about a free audiobook or reading the first chapter a few months early, if you know you’ll want the book, I’d really appreciate it if you’d take the time to pre-order now. Thank you so much for your support and consideration!
